Fiona Apple, “Fast As You Can”

Be still, my beating heart! Sam Apoc is in the studio with John Frusciante, presumably working on Frusciante’s solo record. If he is indeed working with RZA on this project, the album is going to be nothing short of epic amazingness. Frusciante is a huge Wu-Tang fan, often citing them as a source of inspiration. Frusciante has said he wanted Chili Peppers’ song “Californication” to have “a Wu-Tang beat,” and that his guitar playing on the album Stadium Arcadium was influenced by the rap collective’s “polyrhythmic relationship to the groove.”
We know that JF has been in the studio since April of 2011 if not earlier, working with Share “Truth Hurts” Watson, who has tweeted quite a bit about the experience. This will be Frusciante’s eleventh solo record, and his first since leaving the Red Hot Chili Peppers for the second time in 2009.
To get a taste of what may be to come from this collabo, check out N.A.S.A.’s “Way Down” featuring RZA and John Frusciante (first video) and Wu’s “The Heart Gently Weeps” (second video) with JF and Erykah Badu, which should sound familiar to you.
You’ll remember me

Bitches get stuff done!
It really grinds my gears to hear a woman say, “I’m not a feminist, but…” and then make some statement that’s 100% in line with feminist ideologies. If you believe in equal rights, then you are a feminist. Stop apologizing for the term, and stop perpetuating its negative connotations. Educate yourself and start helping others understand that “feminist” is not a dirty word. The beloved Tina Fey is a feminist. So is the equally awesome Amy Poehler. And obvs, Hillary Clinton. And guess who else:

I opened my eyes while you were kissing me once
More than once
And you looked as sincere as a dog
Just as sincere as a dog does
When it’s the food on your lips with which it’s in love

Yes, I found this picture of Fiona and her dog, Janet, because I am that good at the Internet.
